SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION GUIDELINES 

JEWELS of Georgia, Inc. is a non-profit organization whose mission is to empower women and provide mentorship opportunities. Through these efforts, we strive to reach our full potential intellectually, emotionally and spiritually. 

The organization is pleased to announce its annual scholarship awards ($1500.00) to be awarded to deserving students in Georgia. Applications must be written or typed legibly and submitted as outlined below. Scholarships awarded by JEWELS of Georgia, Inc. will be announced and awarded upon proof of current school enrollment. Applicants should submit scholarship applications as follows: 

AWARD CATEGORY 

FIRST-TIME COLLEGE STUDENT: A high school graduate. This applicant must have applied to and be accepted at an accredited college, university or technical school. 

SELECTION CRITERIA 

Each applicant should type and submit an essay (550 word minimum) based on the following: 

“Tell us about a female who inspires you and why. How has her inspiration influenced your outlook on life during the current global pandemic?"

 Candidates should also include the following in the essay:  

• Personal achievements including honors and awards (school, community, church and/or employment).  

• Long and short range goals after graduation (be specific; the committee must be able to clearly identify the goals). 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT  

• Passport Size Photograph  

• Copy of college acceptance letter  

• One letter of reference from a school personnel, community organization, employer or church
